About Botox
In wrinkle treatment, the toxin of the Clostridium botulinum bacterium is used. This toxin temporarily paralyzes the muscles. Its effect lasts 4-6 months; with repeated applications this effect is prolonged.
The application areas of the toxin on the face are: the forehead, the sides of the eyes, the wrinkles between the brows, and in some patients the vertical muscle bands on the neck.
