Nose Aesthetics (Rhinoplasty)
An aesthetic surgical operation in which the cartilage and bone structures of the nose are reshaped to harmonize with the face.
About Nose Aesthetics (Rhinoplasty)
The nose is made of cartilage and bone; in rhinoplasty these structures are reshaped to harmonize with the face. To create a more aesthetic nasal shape, the nasal bridge is filed down, asymmetries are corrected, and the nose is sometimes reduced or narrowed.
In rhinoplasty and all aesthetic procedures, patient-physician communication and mutual trust are essential. When this bond cannot be established, the rate of post-operative dissatisfaction and failure rises.
A facial analysis is performed by taking photographs of the patient who decides on surgery, and a natural, beautiful nasal shape suited to their face is determined. Photo studies show approximate results of the new nose to be formed after surgery.
